..Says former Governor shedding crocodile tears to hide from probe.
A pro good governance sociocultural organization in Imo State , Olu Owerri has advised the former Governor of the State, Chief Rochas Okorocha to stop his now habitual blackmail of the government of Imo State led by Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, insisting that the desire of Imo people to recover all that Okorocha’s government stole from the State is unstopable, no matter the volume of crocodile tears he and members of his family shed.
In a Press release in Owerri, signed by the President of the organization, Chief Martin Opara and Secrerary, Barr. Sylvester Nwogu, the group said there is no iota of truth in the allegation that the daughter of Okorocha was slapped by a taskforce member during the revovery of looted government properties hid inside containers at an estate allegedly owned by Mrs Nkechi Okorocha, wife of the former Governor.
Chief Opara noted that contrary to the falsehood bandied around by Okorocha and his paid agents, the Imo State Government has not met the demand of the masses in Imo State for a comprehensive probe of the last administration and revocation of all Certification of Occupancy, C of O, for all lands acquired with government instruments but converted to private use by the former Governor to build Estates, Private Schools and Hotels
The group further lampooned the former first family who is known for sponsorship of touts to intimidate opponents and harass illostrous sons and daughters of the State, for stealing government properties despite the monumental looting it superintended in the eight (8) years of the Okorocha administration.
The group reminded Okorocha and his gang of their asult on the catholic faithful, before the Archbishop, at Asumpta Cathedral Owerri during the political debate for Governorship candidates in 2014; the near assult on the Arch Bishop of Owerri at Obube-Ulakwo, Owerri North LGA during a burial mass and that Imolites are yet to forget their physical assult on the former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere as well as the then APC Chairman, Chief Hillary Eke and other APC party faithful at the APC Convention in Abuja, before the full view of all Nigerians.
It concluded by urging the public and the Ihedioha led government to ignore the blackmail by Okorocha who is known to be highering touts to throw stones at peaceful protesters, including the poor pensioners who came together to ask for payment of their near seventy (70) Months pension.
