Prior to that, precisely on December 11, 2017, Owerri geo-political zone declared Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha as the consensus candidate for the zone. That endorsement became known as “Egbu Declaration” because it was made in Egbu area of Owerri North LGA.

The first anniversary of the “Egbu Declaration” was celebrated Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at All Saints Anglican Church Cathedral, Egbu.

It may be recalled that Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha’s has receiving endorsement from various groups both locally in Nigeria and internationally in Europe and America.
