Now that Okorocha has accepted defeat

Since the Outgoing Governor, Barr. Rochas Okorocha lost in his bid to secure a third term through his Son inlaw, the Jos born politician of Ogboko extraction has refused to accept defeat.

With the setting up of a Transition committee, He has indeed accepted the March 9th collective decision of Ndi Imo to elect His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, CON, a Son of the soil, as the Executive Governor of Imo State beginning from May 29th 2019.

Significantly, the emergence of Ihedioha has brought to a halt Iberiberism, nepotism, obtaining by tricks, and all manners of bad governance and misrule witnessed in the past 8 years.

While going through his transition committee list and announcement contained in it, I was surprise to read that the Outgoing Governor is talking about tours to his projects with the Governor Elect. While I’m not speaking on behalf of the Governor Elect, I ask, Pls where are the projects?

Can we please take him to fire service roundabout, MCC Junction, Douglas road, Wetheral Junction, Naze Junction, Chukwuma Nwoha Road, dick tiger road, Toronto by road safety road, and all the major access roads to Owerri which the Governor destroyed within his 8 years of unfortunate reign.

Gov. Okorocha will be remembered as one man who left Imo worse than He met it. Dr Ohakim handed over an Imo that was moving away from underdevelopment. A clean Imo, with State Capital as cynosure of all eyes with visitors inclusive. Unfortunately today, we have nothing to lay hands on. The state of traffic is at its worst situation. Non of the link roads in the streets are okay. Everything is revolving around Bank Road, Wetheral, Okigwe Road and Egbu Road. Without these routes which are in bad shapes, you may not achieve anything in town.

In actual sense Imo is in shambles. Coming back from Anambra State recently through Control Roundabout, it took over an hour to escape from traffic. Moving forward through Aba Road en route Mbaise, Naze Junction was a no go Area, navigating through the villages, passing through the dirty waters to link up Egbu Road, road safety Roundabout was locked down by traffic. I unfortunately made up my mind to move back, I met the worst at Fire Service. Indeed my day was ruined. The above illustration fulfills the situation of an average road user in Owerri. The situation is even more dangerous at the communities and LGAs.

Today, the incoming government is expected to perform magic to fix these challenges in one day. That’s the sad reality. This mess is also in the health sector, education, and indeed all sectors of the State. Imo is in total collapse. The outgoing Governor should hide his face in shame and bow out. Imolites owe him nothing. God will guide the incoming administration to succeed despite all the evil plans by the outgoing Governor to frustrate the incoming administration. Power indeed belongs to God.

Congratulations Ndi Imo, Now the Governor has accepted defeat, Imo is completely Liberated.
