Imo Firstlady promises better days for special citizens, underprivileged

The Wife of the Imo State governor, Ebere Ihedioha has reiterated the state’s government resolve to partner with agencies to accommodate the special citizens and less privileged in the vision of rebuilding the state.

The wife of the governor made this known when she visited Daughters of Providence for the Deaf and Dumb, Ahiazu Mbaise and Mercy Orphanage Home Okwelle Onuimo Local Government Council respectively, to commemorate Nigeria’s 59 Independence anniversary.

She said that the state government will liaise with relevant government agencies to support and encourage them through establishment of special secondary schools, skill acquisition, text books and other learning facilities.

Reacting, the Interim Management Committee Chairman of Ahiazu Mbaise, Hon Sir Sam Ahiarakwe thanked the first lady for her kind gesture and support to special citizens.

In his own remarks, the Interim Management Committee chairman of Onuimo LGA, Chief Silas Onyeiwu, thanked lady Ihedioha for her kind heart and prayed God to continue to guide the Administration.

Highpoint of the event was the donation of food items, Desktop Computers, learning materials, etc, the for special citizens and the underprivileged by the wife of the governor.

The event had in attendance Wife of Imo State Deputy Governor Ogbuefi Vivian Irona, Wife of the SSG, Head of Service, among others.
