I’m in the race to restore dignity of Labour— Ihedioha

-Why we are backing Ihedioha- Gov. Udenwa

The former number six citizen of Nigeria and the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, has promised to restore the dignity of Labour when he assumes office as the Chief Executive Officer of Imo State.

He said this while speaking at the #ImoPDP statewide campaign rally held in Añara, Isiala Mbano LGA today.

Rt. Hon. Ihedioha noted that both the civil servants, pensioners and artisans are all suffering due to lack of good governance. According to the leading gubernatorial candidate, a thinking leadership will ensure that there is dignity in Labour in other to encourage its citizens. He also promised to restore the “fundamental principles of good governance, ensure wealth creation and revitalize the agricultural sector”.

Speaking further, he asserted that he isn’t a man of too many promises but a man of action. In his exact words, “talk is cheap, to act is more difficult. I talk and I act. That’s why I’m called #Omenkahuruanya. I’m going to be governor at a time when leadership is needed in Imo. I’m coming to re-establish good governance in our State”.

Speaking earlier in the event, the former Governor of Imo State, Chief Dr Achike Udenwa noted that he is championing the course of a new Imo through #EmekaIhedioha. He made it known to the people of Isiala Mbano that the only road that is strong and passable today in the LGA, the Amaraku/Umuelemai road was built by his administration. He stressed that he and other leaders of the state are supporting Ihedioha because he is the man that will restore the lost glorious days of the state.

The leader of the delegation, the State Chairman of the Party, Chief Barr. Charles Ezekwem, Ikemba Okigwe, emphasized on the need to ensure equity and fairness by voting for the most marginalized zone in the state, Owerri Zone. He pointed out that only Owerri Zone has one strong candidate in the person of Chief Emeka Ihedioha, a man whom he described as tested, tried and trusted.

The rally attracted the presence of party leaders, notable amongst them were, His Excellency, Chief Achike Udenwa, Chief Engr. Ebere Udeagu, Hon. Obinna Onwubuariri, Chief Chinedu Chukwuonye, Lady Ngozi Oguwuike, Kanayo O Kanayo, Sir. Stan Ekezie, members of the State Working Committee, the LGA Executive members, ward officials had f the party and a host of other notable personalities.
