Okigwe PDP Rally: End of Discussion-Kema Chikwe
The State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Imo State, Chief Charles Ezekwem, Ikemba Okigwe, has described the Gubernatorial candidate of the PDP, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, as a man with multiple capacities who has the key to Imo development. The Okigwe born legal luminary made this known while addressing the good people of Okigwe during the PDP campaign held yesterday, at the Police Parade Field, Okigwe.
He stated further that the man Ihedioha knows the right decisions to take when elected as the State Governor. Describing Ihedioha as a man who will be very deliberate in his actions, Ezekwem noted that a vote for Ihedioha is a vote for equity, justice and fairness. He stressed that among all the Candidates, Ihedioha is number one in Human Capacity, Sincerity, honor, trustworthy and hard-work.
He urged the people of Okigwe not to waste their votes, stating that any vote cast for any other party will be a waste at the end.
He solicited for support for the House of Assembly candidate, Sam Okoli, describing him as a young man with promising political future. Chief Ezekwem also called on Okigwe People to vote for Hon. Patrick Ndubueze for Okigwe Senate, and Hon. Obinna Kingsley Onwubuariri, for Okigwe North Federal Constituency.
“My ambition is to be remembered as that Man that made Imo better. I want to be known as that man that rebuilt Imo State. I want to be known as that man that will offered our people freedom. My ambition is to be remembered as that Man that made Imo better…”
“…I have a sense of contentment, nothing will be new to me in governance. Support us and watch us change the narratives for Imo People.”
These were the words of the Gubernatorial candidate of the PDP, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, as He mounted the Stage to address the good people of Okigwe Local Government.
Filled with thanks to the people of Okigwe, His Excellency praised the State Chairman, Ikemba Okigwe, for raising the flag of the PDP high in Okigwe Local Government. He assured them that Imo under the PDP will be an Imo where there will be orderliness and due process, an Imo where rule of law will reign supreme, the legislature function independently, with Local Government administration running autonomously.
He promised that the Power plant Project ongoing in Okigwe which He was instrumental to while in the National Assembly, will be completed to achieve its purpose of power generation, power transmission and power distribution. On roads, He assured that known construction companies will take over the roads in Okigwe town to ensure that the major township roads are immediately expanded.
For Dr Mrs Kema, a former minister of the federal republic and a member of the PDP Board of Trustees, the quality of support from the masses in Okigwe shows that the LGA is a stronghold of the PDP. She described the rally as End of Discussion, noting that the PDP in Okigwe has shown its readiness to vote for Atiku Abubakar and all the National Assembly candidates on the 16th of February, and Emeka Ihedioha and Sam Okoli on the 2nd of March 2019.
The Rally had in attendance, a former Deputy Governor of Imo and a Son of Okigwe, Engr. Ebere Udeagu, Dr Douglas Acholonu, Prof. Jude Njoku, Rt. Hon. Chuma Nnaji, Rt. Hon. Maxwell Duru, Sir Stan Ekezie, Hon. Obi Mbadiwe, Hon. Obinna Duruaku, Chief Ben Ekwueme, Veteran actor Victor Osuagwu, Sir Alozie Nwokoro, among other leaders and stakeholders of the PDP who accompanied His Excellency to Okigwe LGA.
