Before the Iri Ji ceremony of the good people of Mbaise Nation, His Excellency, Governor Emeka Ihedioha, CON, was honored by the Catholic Diocese of Ahiara, in a Holy Mass presided by the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese, Most Rev. L.I. Ugorji, at Mater Ecclessiae, Ahiara Diocese.
The high point of the mass was the presentation of a Holy Bible to the Governor by Most Rev. L. I. Ugorji, and the presentation of an official congratulatory message to the Governor by the Diocese. The Governor was also honored with gift items symbolizing the Iri Ji Cultural Festival.
The Governor thanked the Diocese for their continuous prayers and support and pledged to remain a committed soldier of Christ.
Other guests at the Mass included Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, Hon. Udo Uko, the Deputy Governor of Abia State, Notable Traditional Rulers, the President General Ezururze Mbaise, Chief Barr. C.Y Anyanwu, Hon. Emeka Chinedu, members of the State Assembly, among other top Government officials.
