GOVERNOR OKOROCHA DELIVERS HIS HANDOVER NOTE EIGHT DAYS AFTER HE LEFT OFFICE
The immediate past Governor of the State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha today delivered his handover note to the State Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha CON through his Principal Secretary, Engr. Emeka Duru.
The handover note was received on behalf of the Governor by the Secretary to the State Government, Rt. Hon. Uche Onyeagucha in his office at the early hours of today.
Receiving the handover note, the Secretary to the State Government said that the immediate past Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha had refused to handover to the present Governor, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha since after he left office on 29th May 2019. He said that such act is a sheer abberation and contradicts the principle of constitutional and democratic governance.
In his reaction, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Barr. Chris Okewulonu, said that the Governor will take time to study the handover note and communicate to the general public at the appropriate time.
