The story of Bishop Maxwell Chinaechetam Korie is a very exciting story, worthy of Thanksgiving to God. Some years back, He was told by a Medical Doctor that He had only 6 months to live after being diagnosed of cancer. But God said No and gave him more years to live.
As He celebrated His Thanksgiving at Lifeline Assembly Church, Aboha Ohii, Owerri West, thanking God also for delivering him from a ghastly motor accident and cancer, He recounted his encounter with the Governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha.
While sharing His testimony, Bishop Korie noted, “While I was down some one gave me a helping hand. At that time, He was not looking for vote, He was not in need of anything from the people, He had already won his election. But He took care of me, sent his Details to assist me and that indeed lifted my spirit. That person I am talking about is His Excellency Emeka Ihedioha, He is seated here today”.
His Excellency commended Bishop Korie for always speaking truth to power, urging him to continue to pray for the State, while reassuring the people that despite the difficulties on ground, Imo State shall prevail and emerge stronger.
The event also witnessed the birthday celebration of Pastor Mrs Ebipador Korie, the wife of Bishop Maxwell Korie.
