Emeziem resumes as Imo ENTRACO General Manager

..familiarizes with members of staff, meets with a couple of taskforce

The newly appointed Special Adviser on Sanitation and Transport to Governor Emeka Ihedioha as well as the General Manager of the Imo State Environmental Transformation Commission (Imo ENTRACO), Hon. Alex Emeziem on Tuesday, 18th June, 2019, resumed duty officially.

Honourable Emeziem, a sociologist, seasoned entrepreneur, public administrator and politician is also a passionate environmentalist was warmly welcomed when he arrived the the ENTRACO headquarters by joyous members of staff led by the Director of Accounts and Finance (DAF).

Emeziem, headed into a familiarization meeting with the members of staff where he was introduced to the workers and the workers also took turns to identify themselves. Emeziem decried the dilapidated state of the facility, equipments that were looted, among others. He assured them of a good working relationship aimed at repositioning the commission for greatness and revenue generation through standard work ethics. He also reassured that the governor has approved 100% payment of salaries. The DAF thanked the General Manager and promised that the workers will give their all on the job.

Hon. Alex Emeziem, the DAF then received the leadership of the taskforce on the enforcement of the ban of heavy duty trucks from plying the Owerri metropolis in the daytime as the came to congratulate him on his appointment and declare their intention to work harmoniously with him. Emeziem, welcomed them, and asked salient questions as regards their mode of operation, revenue generation, and also told them that there will be reviews of accounts, operations among others. He also announced the ban of ‘ENTRACO contractors’ as the were causing issues for the commission. The meeting ended on a good note.

Up next was the meeting with the leadership of the taskforce on the enforcement of the ban on dredging led by Engr. Emeka Chilaka. They also came to congratulate the General Manager and pledge support as well as give update on their activities so far. Also in attendance were Jude Anosike and Kennis Anyanwu. Emeziem thanked them and guaranteed them of a cordial working relationship going forward.
