OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR
SPECIAL ASSISTANT NEW MEDIA
22nd September, 2019
SUBJECT: APPRECIATION TO IMO NEW MEDIA COMMUNITY
It was Henry Ford who said: coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress and working together is success.
Corroborating his assertion is Micheal Jordan who opined, Alone we can achieve so little, together we can do so much.
The manifestation of the wise words from these two renowned writers was experienced on social media yesterday, as Imolites gave their unflinching support to Gov. Emeka Ihedioha, before, during and after the tribunal judgments.
It was simply unprecedented. The support was overwhelming. The love was infectious and the desire to see the state in safe hands was patriotism defined.
For the first time in a long while, Imo people jettisoned political interests, inclinations and parties to protect the future of Imo state.
It was an emotional day for us at Imo State Government New Media Centre. All of you who stood for justice and the mandate given to Gov. Ihedioha by Imo people while the court judgements lasted are the real heroes of the state.
Be assured that Gov. Ihedioha followed the trend online yesterday. Your support has further given him the psychological boost and mental strength to continue delivering dividends of democracy and leadership hinged on due process, rule of law and accountability.
I sincerely wish we sustain the tempo, even as I extend my hands of collaboration to all the key players in the Imo New Media community.
One thing is sure, Gov. Emeka Ihedioha will not fail to take Imo State to its place of pride.
Thank you all.
May God bless Imo state and Imolites.
